CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
BODY SCULPTING Leaving no muscle untouched, this energizing non-impact workout will create a leaner, stronger you by blending the strength, flexibility and balance of Pilates, Yoga and Fitness. This class incorporates the usual focus on CORE strength, by using the stability balls, resistance bands, tubing and the bender balls. Experience fast results in developing balance, body awareness and strength. Get ready for new and exciting challenges every class. This class contributes to all levels of fitness. GENTLE YOGA Basic poses at a slow pace. Ideal for beginners and/or students with health concerns. Pregnant women can attend the classes with clearance from their physician and applying the modifications offered by the instructor. RESTORATIVE YOGA Completely relax, relieve tension and revive the mind and body through breath work and passive yoga poses. Restorative yoga provides an ideal way to recover the body and mind from stress, and renew the nervous system. Very few poses accompanied by guided meditations or silence.
PILOXING A high energy fusion of Pilates, boxing and dance. Transform yourself into a tough boxer, graceful ballerina, and a hip street dancer-ALL in one class! VINYASA YOGA Vinyasa is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. The word Vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.” In other words, the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. This technique is sometimes also called Vinyasa Flow, or just Flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. PRENATAL YOGA Pregnancy presents a woman with many new physical and emotional changes. With guidance and support you can learn to discover your own inner strength as well as how to optimize you and your child’s overall well being. In addition to its many physical benefits, prenatal yoga helps women through the evolutionary process of pregnancy by allowing the opportunity for inward reflection and preparing one for birth on a holistic level. PILATES WORKOUT A pilates mat class for all levels. Balls and light weights may be used for part of the warmup routine. This class works the core as you strengthen, lengthen, and tone your body. Class ends with a cooling down and a guided relaxation sequence. |
